alarm problem

    i have a problem with my standard vts alarm, when ever i lock my car, few minutes later the alarm will go off? and it keeps going off to, had to disconnect the siren, now just the indicators flash.

    its rather annoying as when ever i leave my car anywhere it keeps going off, any help would be appreciated

    The most common problem associated with any alarm system false alarming are the ultrasonic interior sensors. I would disconnect these and see what happens. Not sure where the connections are. Don't be tempted to cut the wires if you cannot find the connectors just in case they are not the cause.

    mk2 vts alrams are pants and they always fail eventurally

    to stop the alarm going off just hold down the alarm button on the dash untill the light comes on then lock the car with the key (this disables the alarm)

    i ended up ripping out my standard alarm and fitting a whole new system in the end, never looked back since
