Anyone Found any problems with lowering cars?

A friend lowered his car and he turned the corner quickly and his drive shaft popped out. Will this be a problem for myself? (my car has springs all round), I was thinking of getting coil overs but only lowering it slightly. If anyone can think of anything that could possibly go wrong please let me know

PAS pipes tend to burst on lowered Saxos if not bent out the way.

    Ok
    What other damage is caused?
Also does cornering the car quickly cause any damage?

the life of parts will be reduced due to strain on them, but driveshaft really shouldnt popp out, as it cannot move

my washer jets blocked up when my car got lowered

On saxos as said pas pipe on mk2s may need bent out the way, rearbeam can be lowered incorrectly causing bearings to fail then the rear axel will show bad camber. Also if it's excessively lowered (80mm etc) on the rear the bumpstops will hit causing the car to skip about.

Day to day driving is pretty crap with rattles and speed bumps are a pain in the arse .Depending how low you are going .

Speeed bumps are my problem, have to go over them on 1 side of the car, if you go straight over them, front bumper scrapes, and exhaust scrapes.

depending on how far your going theres differnt things. ive had to lift my coolant pipe at the back of the engine away from the driveshaft. power steering pipes are usually a common one too.

Dont forget, if you have a brake bias valve it needs to be correctly adjusted otherwise you will lock up your back end, trust me i know lol. And unfortunitly iv been told you cant remove it

problems caused is: rubbing opf inner arches, plastic arches, rubbing PAS pump pie on mk2, life expectancy of dampers, more scrapes on the bumper and skirts. pot holes/bumps a lot more noticable.

drive shaft should pop out, unless it was bolted in, or was never put in correctly in the first pace.

cant see how the driveshaft came out. on thing i can think of is if the wishbone lower ball joint came undone somehow.

im lowered upto70mm on the back and get no problems with anything whatsoever. Only the occasional scrape off the decat if i take a bump wrong
