Pugsport Centre section + Magnex backbox.

    Next year I fancy changing my exhaust. Only so I have a better chance of getting onto more track days.

    I've always wondered if a Pugsport centre section will fit onto a Magnex back box since they look very similar.
    This would eliminate the extra join in the middle (where I found mine used to blow) and the huge Magnex middle box wouldn't be there to scrape off the ground.

    Seems like a great compromise if it works.

    would it not be easier for you to get a supersprint race tube

    Well no unless I can find the old style Magnex backbox with clamp joint.
    The newer back boxes have a sleeve joint like you get with Pugsport exhausts.

    Plus the aim is to make it quiet I reckon if I had a race tube Supersprint with a Magnex it would be louder than what I have.
    Plus I prefer the sleeve joint Magnex's they are easier to fit and blow less.

    All I want to know is, if a Sleeve Joint magnex back box will fit the Pugsport centre section.

    are right fair enough mate i see where your coming from, i couldnt see why it wouldnt but it might not fit in the correct place on the bumper

    Aly I did it on my Cherry GTi mate pugsport mid section and twin oval backbox on full chat was like a pugsport but on idle was a more deep magnex but not pugsport loud you need to cut the magnex midsection and get a sleeve join but its a piss easy 5 min job you want some pics?

    Yes pictures would be nice.

    I wish I had thought of this earlier since I think it's a setup that could work very well.
    My old Magnex I had was the old clamp style and that's why I hated my Magnex since it always used to blow, when I bought a new Magnex for my mate Jimbo I noticed the design was different.

    There's plenty of Magnex back boxes for sale with the sleeve join it's just finding a Pugsport centre on it's own for sale.

    aly ive got a sax with magnex backbox that powerflow in the town ran a striaght pipe to, its pretty quiet without a silencer and i think itd pass the noise test tbh, if you want it pm me an offer, not looking stupid money for it, as im thinking of putting a standard system back on, magnex box is mint and powerflow system to join it is 6 weeks old, got receipt and lifetime guarantee

    will back gav up that that the pugsport/magnex relationship was very good
