is there anything i can use apart from a sharp blade to get silicone sealent off?
any help would be much appricated

If it's on the paint don't use a blade you are asking for trouble.

its on plastic. i think ill give the hairdryer ago and see how that goes. thanks guys

How does a hairdryer help??? Silicone is stable up until a minimum of 220°C. Just curious thats all.
