Willwood/gti6 brake line fitment.

  1. #1
I have braided lines from the master cylinder to all four calipers fitted to my car. I'm wanting to take the willwood 4pots off and replace with Gti6 calipers will the brake lines be a straight swap over???
    Cheers for any reply

    No they wont.
The willwood is an imperial taper thread, where as the gti6 uses a metric thread.

Are your lines one piece from the mc to the caliper?

I think so buddy so it's a case of having to change the fitment on the end of the lines?

All dpends what fittings you have on the hoses.
If they are the reusable type then you can change the ends.
If they are swaged ends then you will need new hoses

can you not just get the flexi section from caliper in the correct size?

    he could be
as posted above he has braided lines running from the caliper to the mc, the connection on the caliper end has a taper fit so wont fit in to either a standered flexi house (this would make the hoses far too long) or in to the gti6 caliper.

we when make lines up for this purpose we suggest that the front lines are made in two sections, like standered
section one runs from the mc down to the bracket on the inner wing
section two replaces the standered flexi.

that way if a line gets damaged or a different fitting caliper is uses (as in this case) you only have to replace two short sections of hose

yeah pop some pics up lets have a look see what we can sort out
