does a broken back box affect fuel economy?

   the other day my back box finally rusted through and isnt actually attached to the center pipe any more, bit random but does it affect fuel consumption because i have gone trough 20 quid in 3 days, the same time my back box broke.

   broken or roten exhoust system with holes etc. can affect fuell consumption and even fair bit.

   Yes it will because the engine isn`t getting rid of exhaust gases properly.

   cheeres guys, i rinsed 8 quid in one day its bad times, but i dont get paid till tuesday so rusty exaust for another few days!
