k&n induction kit for my 1.1 saxo!

  1. #1
    Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering if any of you can give me some advice on k&n induction kits? I've got a Saxo 1.1 (1998) and I am wondering where is the best place to get them bought online and basically any general tips you could give me about them, before I get one bought?

    Thanks,
    Bicko.

Prepared to be met with lots of posts detailing:don't bother, it's a 1.1 they are crap, vts lump it or my personal favourite USE THE SEARCH

Personally i wouldn't bother, but if you insist on doing it your probably better off just getting a cheapo ebay filter, it won't make much difference to a k&n tbh but it'll cost £5 instead of £55

Fair enough, will have a browse on ebay then and thanks for the quick reply.

    Anymore advice is welcome!

Sorry to double post but I didn't want to start a new topic when this one is still here.

I've fitted an air filter to my Saxo, I've got the increased accleration but my car sounds no different to how it did anyway? It said it'd have a sporty sound to it, but it doesn't, any ideas why?

Look for a panel filter. Will work on this.

Cheers, I am guessing they can be found on ebay?

K&N panel filter, sits in your standard airbox but performs much better, you could drill your airbox aswell so it'd sound a bit better, plus more air in your air to fuel mix so you might have to sort that out aswell

To be honest you are not going to get a lot from an aftermarket filter but if the inlet is particularly restrictive it may be noticable.
I would fit an K&N open cone filter setup for the noise and see what happens.
You are looking at £50 from us which is not a lot really.
