Important! : VTR Driving me Insane!!

   Hello all, Where to start... My Car is Killing me.. It runs for 5-10 minutes then dies, then will start again after about 5 minutes of trying, i got told it was Crankshaft Position sensor, so i fitted a brand new one, did nothing, so told to check fuel filter, fitted a brand new one, told to check earth leads, ones i could see were fine.. :/ im thinking something in the ignition as its only usually under acceleration.. :/ .. please help guys, or this VTR is going to the Scrap Yard

   I think most people would say to change coil pack-they seem to go bad at an alarming rate. Have you tried checking for sparks just after it cuts out?
   
   Also does you fuel pump prime on click 2 of ignition while you have this fault? I have not heard of fuel pumps giving up to oftenthough to be fair.

   Many thanks for the reply, well i only seem to hear the fuel pump priming (or letting fuel through) when i turn the key 3 clicks as the engine is turning over... im not to sure about the coil pack, i may have a look at the plugs today and check for sparks, Many thanks.
