is this weird or is it me ? please help

well i have what i belive and the v5 documents belive is a citroen saxo mk2
well the weird things are is the cat is not like just below the manifold like on all mk2's its under the car , the front brakes discs and calipers look bigger than my mates standard furio ones , and my ecu has a different sticker than his on top of it and my loom looks like it has been spilt into two sections about 8 inches before connecting to the ecu please can someone help as one of my mates seems to think i might have a vtr engine fitted and i do have this idea that it might be a vtr engine too

picture of the ecu sticker on top

picture of the loom where it goes into two (its been wrapped in black tape so wouldnt come from factory like this surely)

just a pic of an above veiw of rocker cover

Early MK2 VTR's had the CAT under the car

Google says the ECU 1AP.81 is for 1.4 engines

you can get vtr's in the mk 2 shape (rounder front end) but still have a cat under the car, this means its the 90bhp engine as apposed to the 98bhp newer mk2 , but if its a furio then obviously not

    It's a furio Ecu.

    My old 1.4 8v Ecu was a 1AP.81.

I'd say it was 90% a furio engine - I wouldn't read too much into it tbh.

thanks to you both and snake i knew they made vtr's in mk2 shape its just i still dont get why i have a bigger brake set up on the front and the loom before it enters the ecu why is it spilt ?

Yes there are but the guy was only asking a question.

His car had different things on than his mates...

measure the diameter of your brake discs against your mates - it can be deceptive when just looking at them when you have different sized wheels.

the looms always split normally before going into the Ecu, as it goes to a double relay under the Ecu tray

VTR and Furio front set up's are the same size anyway.

You may just have different calipers on to allow for 266mm discs, however, I doubt this and I reckon it's most likely just appearance.

^^^ to be honest mate your a right cock imo , all i wanted was an answer to a question not to be called a tard

thank you everyone who has helped me out on this question as it seemed a bit odd but all adds up now and i have just been out and measured the front discs and they are like 283mm discs

Sticking up for you here. For those of you that said its a furio ecu so its a furio engine, well thats crap... so you would look at my ecu and say its a furio engine although the engine is 16v? it maybe running on the wrong ecu though like mine is. I would personally say it is a furio engine but surely the furio engine had the cat in the manifold? my old one did.

I'd be very surprised if someone put a vtr engine in his car and left the 1.4 Ecu - most people will have some common sense to run the right ecu for the engine

It wouldn't be unheard of for someone to remove the manifold with a cat in it to fit a 4-2-1, sort out the oil filter setup and put a cat under the car, only then to sell the 4-2-1 and just refit a normal manifold due to the oil filter arrangement.

The 1.4 Westcoasts didn't have a cat in the manifold, his is probably an early mk2 - or a mk1 with a mk2 front end?

We can conclude that he has a 1.4 engine (looks exactly the same as my old 1.4 engine) and 283mm front brakes.

    its a 1.4 lol.............
as for black tape that can be someone looking for a problem, therefore spliting the loom and then re taping it up

thanks for your help didnt mean to start a debait lol and when i did a check it came out mk2 so its a mk2 and the clocks are digital
