Important! : Slight oil leak

Its not enough to worry about, and theres none on the drive in the morning, but i think its my driveshaft seal (will double check this tomorrow)

If it is that, can it be done at home? I'm mechanically minded and have basic tools.. I've searched for a guide but can't see anything?

If i were to take it to say Ricky P any idea how much they'd want?

    Cheers

If it is the shaft seal then it can be repaired fairly easily aslong as the cv joint isnt damaged (knocking, clicking etc). Get yourself a universal stretch cv boot off ebay for about £5; get something cone shaped to go over the end of the shaft, re grease inside the boot and on the joint, stretch the boot over, clip in place, job done!

I did this on mine about 6 months ago and i've had no problems since

EDIT: Ignore this, for some reason i thought you were on about the cv boot.. (It was late! )

IIRC, it's just a case of draining the gearbox oil, removing the offending driveshaft and replacing the oil seal on that side.
