looking for sum vts gearbox knowledge

    ive been told that if a put a 106 4 speed gearbox in my saxo vts it will improve accelleration, i no tht i would loose alot of top end speed but i just want no if any1s dun it and if its worth the hassle? cheers

    Not worth it, get an s1 rally box if anythin, but I like the vts box myself

    1.4sxi box is a nice box to go for aparently? Not as short as the s1 box but not as long as vts. (Dont quote me on this).

    if its four speed I would imagine the ratios would be longer in the top half if anything and not really worth it.

    Standard VTS ratios go well with the VTS imo. Could always pop in a 1.4 xsi final drive of something if you really want to shorten 5th etc.
    I had this for a while but went back to standard when I had my diff put in

    cheers for the info not sure bout wot to do tho mite just fit a quickshift n keep the vts box, cheers lads
