Gaz coilovers

was looking into what people were saying about these and some people were talking about having to have them welded.
i was thinking of getting these, are they good and would i need to have any welding done or would they just be a straight change over?

Don't see why they would need welding,.

They might not be a straight swap. You might have to remove the current spring cup.

oh well it either them or v max ones but not to sure
  5. #5
    get them not vmax

yea was thinkin but v max are cheaper tbh

    but gaz are better imo.
and the welding bit your asking about, its the threaded collar. People sometimes just weld it to the bottom of the strut. You don't need to do it, just some people prefer to.

hey mate, I got these the other day and i was impressed, ALthough the 300lb springs are quite stiff, but if you want to have the tyres close to the arch for the euro look etc.. then i guess you would need the spring rate! Theres a few pics of the coilovers on my progress thread if you want to see them fitted etc. And just to repeat what ben said. The collars have grub screws in them so they dont need welding in, well i didnt feel the need !
