vts runing rich

   my cars running rich at the moment which is down to a possible lamda fault what i want to no is it still ok to drive the car will cause ant damage to the engine itself?

   If its it not badly over fuelling all you will do is soot up your plugs, lambda and cat. Too much fuel (mainly unburnt fuel in misfires) and the cat will burn its self to death.

   its not to bad it drives fine just smells rich im pretty sure its the lamda sensor before the cat as it had a new cat and 02 sensor this year but when its on idle it does missfire now and then but nothing to bad

   could you not change the lambdas around i.e the one post cat to pre cat until you get a new one. im not sure if there the same though its just an idea, mnaybe someone with more knowledge would know

   i think there diffrent as one contols fueling and the other monitors the emissions
