no mate im afraid not , i use this garage which is local to me as they mostly work on french cars " medway citroen " they have fixed afew issue's that i have had in the past which another bigger garage could'nt , i just wanted to save abit more cash if i could when the time comes to change the lump , the engines sitting at 100 thou at the moment but is blowing out the oil stick , i could go for a partial rebuild but i should imagine that will cost more .

i know but we can do pretty much anything saxo's are easy compared to the new rs more volvo than ford.

and if your vtr engine is blowing oil out the dipstick mate i would stay well clear not worth the hassle plenty of good vtr engines about. not worth a re build unless your going better spec.

Spitting oil out of the dipstick means your engines building up pressure. It could be something as simple as a blocked breather pipe.

Well yeh any garage could do the engine change, its easy but I doubt someone who wants that job doing would go to a dealers lol

&& as below for the engine spitting its dummy out, very simple - something a ford dealership mechanic should know of I would of thought!

i've checked the main breathers they seem ok , i have looked at afew used lumps but im worried that what if they go tits up , im then going to have to go back to the garage to do the same thing all over again , i have taken out an engine years ago on a mk 2 cortina yes it was'nt to difficult , but now i do not have the time a garage etc , so im left to the mercy of the dreaded garage ! lol
