water temp light

   water temp light came on after 30mins of driving but was just normal temp on guage, i put a bit of water in and it went off?
   
   could it just be lowon water or faulty sensor? going to check water pump is working tommorow

   Check if it's leaking, and has it been overheating alot lately ?

   nothing leaking, it depends on type of driving, if take it very very steady wont use a drop, if you put your foot down once it uses alot

   not using water i found a leak on the end was a 55mm jubilee clip on a 22mm pipe, didnt clamp fully and was leaking alot at high revs, since sorting it hasnt used any water but i drove for about 90mins tonight a temp light came on with fan but temp guage was normal, i stopped checked water was fine, been told thermostat maybe jammed part open andnot allowing to circulate properly why it took so long to build up heat in the block, testing it tommorow

    I was going to suggest head gasket, but as you have checked for leaks and found the problem.
