How much tread would you say these tyres have ?

   Hi i am thinking about buying these tyres and im unsure how much tread is on the tyres. Ive asked the guy to messure the tread but he said he hasnt got anything to do it. So if anyone could tell me how much they think they have it would help me alot. Thanks

   nah he says he dosnt have anything to find the tread out. So how many miles like a rough estimate should they last me.

   Top and bottom tyres look to have good tread, about 5mm. Middle two look a lot less, about 3 or 4mm. Remember this is only my rough guess from a picture I may be totally wrong.
   
   You will get quite a few thousand on the tyres if you put them on the back. On the front they will wear quicker due to engine weight/heavier braking and steering etc.

   legal depth is like to the edge of a 50p or something i think...

    legal depth is 1.6mm
    they seem to be ok, but picture is shit tbh!
    
    first, your gay for buying 2nd hand tyres... you will never know if they are already damaged untill its too late, and they go bang bangwhen your on the motorway! good eh.
    just because there is no visual sign of damage, this doesnt mean the structure of the tyre hasnt ruptured in anyway! which can be done from curbing, pot holes or incorrect fitment.
    
    the top one, i would hazard 4mm... put a 5er on it
    the other 3, 2, no more than 3mm.
    
    give it 1000 miles and you will need new ones, depending how you drive.
    alot of town driving, and driving hard, give it 700.

    well by the sounds of it i need new tyres and these are pretty shit. Im just stuck as i dont know what tyres to get and how much im lookin at. I know i dont want budget tyres as its coming up to the winter. I have no clue what to get. Need advise

    continental do great winter tyres... not cheap, but good

    thanks for your help blackcirle seems to be alot more expensive then camskill is there a reason for this.
