Going For VTS Conversion!

I have decided to go with the VTS coversion. MY VTR is a mark 2 version so would need mark 2 VTS engine ecu ect. I have been keeping my eye on ebay for engines but never seem to see any, or if you do they have done like 70 000 mile. Gmc motorsport are doing everything for £1200 but aint got that much cash yet. Anyone no of any good places to pic VTS engines up?

    Cheers Nik

i'd save your dosh mate and go to GMC at least that way you have some sort of warranty and you know the engine will be cool.

there is a bloke that lives over the road from me that i race motocross with. hes allways got cars in his garage so i thought id give him a call and ask him if he has ever had an engine out and done a conversion. he said yes so i asked him how much he would charge to drop a vts engine in mine for me. he said if i put my car in his garage he'd love to help me and wouldnt want any money for it! all i need is a vts radiator and i can go through with it. o yer and the insurance money.

the best iv had so far is £1799.01. that was from endsleigh insurance. im 19 with 2 years experience, 0 no claims.

so the quote is pretty good! just need to save a bit up for the deposite then il go on a monthly basis.
