Remote Central Locking

   Hey guys. How are you?
   
   When i bought my car it came with a FOB and i wasn't to sure what it did lol.
   Curious to my mind i bought some new batteries for it and gave it a whirl but nothing seemed to happen.
   Recently me and my dad fixed the leaking sunroof and when we took out the light where the sunroof winder is we came across this.
   
   
   
   now we know its part of the remote central locking, (well we think lol) and because the sun roof was leaking its made the chip short, we've searched everywhere for a new one but were not sure what were actually looking for. Lol.
   
   Could anyone point us in the right direction or maybe even a link?

   Citroen no longer make then, prety stupid really as saxos sun roofs are renoun for leaking and always short out these chips, what youll need to do is find someone breaking a saxo, or at a scrappy, either get the chip and have your fob programmed to the new chip, or get the fob and chip and the central locking box thats under the dash (see pic for box) thats the only way you can do it, or your can go after market lol hope this helps

   Why do you need the box? Is that coded to the receiver/fob?
   
   I have similar problem on a mk1, just got a receiver but no fob. Have a feeling the receiver has been shorted out so on the prowl for a new one.
   
   If I got the fob, the receiver, and the box all off the same car, would it allow mine to work you reckon?

   If it was all from the same car then yes it will, unless it wasnt working on that car to begin with.
