You cant, altho the sound is coming from under the dash (which is the relay) its actually the stalk causing this.

any idea why its not the relay?

because 99 times out of 100 the cause of this fault is the stalk, thats why we sell and fit so many to cure this problem. the stalk arcs out internally, passing a small amount of current to the relay which then partially closes, hence the clicking noise. Enough of an explaination?

The wires/ joints in the stalk start failing.

My 03 reg car is on its third indicator stalk.

£10 or so from a scrap yard. Sounds like mandyslover70 has a few going spare, so drop him a message.

It's a steering wheel off job... not as bad as it sounds though. Two T30 screws on the back of the wheel to remove the airbag, T50 bolt on centre of the steering wheel, wheel can then be pulled of (leave the bolt screwed in a few threads so you don't hit yourself in the face).

You then need to undo some smaller torx screws on the 'airbag ring' which has the orange coming from it for the airbag. Then you'll gain access to the larger screws which remove the plastic frame (all will make sense when the wheel is off). Then it's two small screws holding the stalk in, unplug the wires and it slides out.
