heat wrap

   hi all sorry if this has been asked before i seached but couldnt find it.
   i need to put heat wrap round my exhaust as the heat shield keeps knocking it and its really annoying so could somone tell me how to do it send a link to a guide. or do i just wrap it round?

   Wrapping it wont stop it knocking!
   Or will you be removeing the heat shield?
   Which part are you wrapping?
   
   You will need
   heat wrap i like thermotec
   stainless steel ties or lockwire
   water
   rubber gloves
   
   
   
   wear the gloves and a long sleeve top, if this stuff gets on your skin i itches!
   Soak the wrap for an hour or so in the water, so once on it shrinks to provide a tight fit.
   Start at one end securing with the stainless wire
   wrap the material around the item, ensuring you overlap it well and pull it tight.
   Repeat until completly coverd.
   Secure with another stainless tie
   allow to dry

   If you go on the kam racing website they have a guide on there, or type how to heat wrap in google....
   It pretty simple: wrap each mani pipe on their own then going into the single pipe cover all the seams/ends of the individual wraps working as far back to end as you like

   Ok thanks. yes i am taking the heat shield off i forgot to add lol.

   It pretty easy wrap each mani pipe on their own then going into the single pipe cover all the seams........and use plenty of steel zip tyres.....

   Its is a lot easier with the manifold off the car.
   Make sure you get it tight otherwise it'll just fall off after a few months.
