Battery light

    This seems a bit strange to me any ideas anyone

    car had a new alternator last year as it failed

    also had a new battery back in septemeber of this year

    since fitting the new batter and this does seem like a bit stange, the battery light flickers on and off occasioanlly, sometimes doesnt come on for a few days then occasioanlly flickers on, then sometimes comes on under really hard accelertation but other times it doesnt. and it never comes on at idle jsut seems really bizzare, last night it was on more a less the whole way home and this morning it was fine??

    i have got a manifold on the car and the alternator wire sits really close to it, i have heatwrapped the wire with some heatproof stuff looks like tinfoil, could this be the problem with it

    Check all the connections make sure there are non loose, check to make sure the connections arent shorting out on the manifold and even though youve had a new battery and alternator best to check voltage just in case.

    altenater m8 i got a new altenater and it was charging the battery up to much wich made the light come on. take it some were and they will test it for you free.
