Camber on wheel after refurb axel.

I recently bought a refurbed rear axel and fitted it myself. Finished it all off today so got the car back on the ground, and im 100% certain there is a slight bit of camber on the passenger side wheel.

On my old axel the camber was on the drivers side but seemed a lot worse. Also, when the old axel was on, the steering wheel sat to the right when driving, but the new axel has got rid of this problem.

The refurbed axel was supplied with second hand hubs which I fitted. Could this new bit of camber be anything to do with the hubs and bearings? Or is it def something wrong with the axel itself? Starting to fucking piss me off!

    Cheers

is there any play in the wheels at all?

I know there a fucking ballache mate. Got the refurbed one and just wanted it to be fine but just my luck to now have camber. It is not a huge amount, but its still there. Do you know if it is def something wrong with the axel, or could be hubs/ bearings?

Yer I think this will be the first and last car I own with a torsion bar. hate them lol

Not sure myself mate. Ive just had mine refurbed by kris-b and I still have some odd angles but have been assured its nothing to worry about. As long as there is no play in it or weird noises or handling trates I would just give it a go and see how it does.

Where did you buy the beam from? Just thought it may be worth contacting them incase they need to check anything if its got a warrenty or anything.

if the axle is lowered by any amount the weight of the car will cause a slight amount of negative camber. nothing to worry about. look at a beemer x5 and look at the camber on the back wheels of them

Yeah i'm tempted to sell this and move on its doing my fucking head in, but who knows it might be ok. The car does drive fine, so much better than beofore, and there's no play and no strange noises comming from the axel itself.

So will just see how it goes for a while. Got it from im axels, I know they have a year warrently. I'm ringing them on monday, but I really can't be fucked with the hassle of changing the axel again, was a fucking mission. Don't think it's as low as it should be as well which is another thing

Yeah I know there might be slight camber on both wheels, but there is noticeably more on just the passenger side, which is leading me to think its something else

persistance mate. i had loads of problems with my car its all sorted spent quite a bit on it but when you have everything spot the vts does really put a smile on your face

Yeah i know that would be good but it's hard to get everything spot on, especially when you can't rely on other people you pay money to to get things right.

Would you say slight camber on 1 rear wheel, with no excessive play, no strange noises and drives fine to be an issue?

im not too clued up on axles but obviously one wheel with camber and one straight aint a good sign tbh. maybe the trailing arm is slightly bent or something if there is no play etc. you say you got it from imaxles there a reputable company im sure it will get sorted in no time

    Who supplied the 'refurbed' beam?
