hi all. Im also doing the front pads. The new ones seem to be too thick and only give the disc no space whatsoever. Please help!

#3cv joints are fine. What have the CV joints got to do with it?

#4The piston is not pushed all the way into the caliper. Use a g-clamp to slowly press it back in. Watch brake fluid level as you push it back, make sure it does not spill out of the reservoir cap.

#5Replaced my front pads today and did as above. Put the inner pad in (one which sits behind the disk nearest the engine) They use a G clamp to push on this and push the piston all the way back in. Should give you plenty or room to work with then

Fit outer pad in and do it all back up etc.
Give the brake pedal a few pumps to bring the piston back out and you should be all good
