VTR juddering

Hi i just bought a saxo vtr and now and again the engine management light will come on and when you go to accelerate it judders for a few seconds, and then will stop and run fine. And other days it will run perfectly. WIll it be a sensor thats a problem do you reckon?

    cheers

I've had the same problem, mate. Past couple of weeks I've had issues after starting up - juddering and flashing engine mgmt light. Counteracted the problem by switching off, restarting and then pulling away in high revs. Only today the engine mgmt came on and stayed on! Decided to book it in for a diagnostic. Suggest you do the same.

Is it a MK1 or MK2, if MK2 get an engine fault code read to start

mines started doing it. only happened in the wet (very violently, lost a cylinder!) but now has a slight miss when i'm driving. have to nail it or bump it by turning off the ignition for it to go. started when i moved the coil pack, so i'd start there?

Is it when you only press the accelerator a slight bit? e.g crusing? if so, it'll be the ICV on the inlet, just take it off and clean it.. always stops mine juddering for a few months.

Garage carried out a 'plug and play' (diagnostic) on my VTR this morning. Could be an issue with the coil pack but nothing to really worry about. They reset the code and suggested replacing the spark plugs. The recent damp/cold conditions may have something to do with it.

Diagnostic and reset cost me £30, btw. :s

sorry aint replyed earlier. thanks for the advice, i wont to sure as am not use to saxos, but think might try chance the spark plugs and see what happens but seems to be a common fault at the minute.
