if its pink in the system
just drain it and refill system
    50/50 50% water 50% antifreeze

I would just change it, its cheap from motor factors anyway
  5. #5
Any small spares will be able to check it

You can buy really cheap gauges to test the percentage of antifreeze in the coolant

agreed with tasting it... only a small amount wont do anything it hasn't hurt me yet, makes you feel pretty shit though the next day

saxo's should have blue antifreeze in them so your looking for a blue colour in the expansion bottle. but rule of thumb it needs changing every 2 yrs so i'd change it if it were me

Can someone tell me how much antifreeze (mixed with water) fits in a saxo vts mk2?
  17. #17
if you're capable, just give it a service, then you know everythings new.

It'll be fine, older engines use the blue, newer do better with the red.

I wouldn't taste it, just use one of those cheap testers.

Thanks bosax. I just bought the antifreeze and I just don't know how can I clear the old one from the radiator.

Take the bottom hose off the radiator and squeeze the pipes, it'll all drain out. Although I think there's a releasing nut somehwere.

I used to hate bleeding saxo's though, no many bleeding points and I would always get an air lock.
