#4Maybe it's a super special Citroen Sport block which traditionally burn a bit of oil on startup, but has an extra 20bhp from standard?
Or could be valve stem oil seals? -

just wanted to know mate haha if it is valve stem oil seals then am i better off fixing them or just VT'ing it?

#6I'm only playing,
Valve stem oil seals aren't hugly serious if the cars running okay. Depends on what you want to do to the car. If you want to put a vt engine in it then just leave them. If you're looking to keep the car for a year whilst save up for another car then you could get them fixed.
KrisB on here does a full head rebuild for £280 all in I think, which is a superb price -
#7i have this but mine only last for about 2-5 seconds and doesnt do it everytime only does it from cold starts after have drove it so persume is stem seals
-
#8been out to the car today started it up and not a single puff of smoke... just the usual condensation from the engine been warmer then the outside air? if it happens again then i will do the seals if not im richer and less stressed
-
#9defo sounds like stem oil seals just wack the sparkys out and do a compression test if the compression slightly higher than normal then u got some fluid in there probly oil
-
#10sounds like oil seals to me mate
-
#11stem seals not the end of the world just means the rubber has gone hard and allows a little oil into the cylinder one turned off.
-
#12i have the same problem yet mine is pure white! that rises over my car and stays high. ppl keep saying head gasket had that checked but its come back ok,
people saying if the white smoke dont rise then its the head but if it rises then its normal in cold weather -
#13i was gonna say the turbo gone but then i realised you had a saxo

#14hey there mate my friends 1.4 furio used to do this we thought as a cheap try before doing the seal we would try the wynn stop smoke stuff from halfords as shown in the link and worked a treat did this bout 8 month ago and never had a sign of smoke since worth the £6 just to try we also gave it an oil change before we did this so it had nice fresh oil http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165750
