Mot is a ball-ache

   Its this week and ive had to:
   
   Swap my decat pipe for standard one. (which ive lost the fire gasket for so the standard one is now blowing!!
   rip off the sunstrip.
   Fit a new grommit for my washer bottle.
   Changed my gear knob + gaitor
   Had to swap over my smoked lights for standards
   Take off spare tyre (as it was bald)
   
   Fuck sake! lol

   Its not, it took me an hour to get to where i could get the car on ramp for starters, ive never changed any exhaust before.. that took me 2 hours on its own lol, had to take the wheel off to fit the new washer bottle.

   The smoked lights wont be an issue uless you cant see the lights when emmited or the reflector, Decat part missing must be the wire gasket holding the centre section to the mani.

    Gear knob?... Doesnt comoe into it.
    Spare, could be bald as fuck, and flat as a pancake... They can only advise a spare, not fail regardless of condition.
    
    Sunstrip...fit smaller wipers, so it doesnt touch.

    Another bit of advice based on WHAT? If the spare is fitted then it must be legal as does a road tyre. If it is not legal it WILL fail. If it is removed then not a problem.

    Spare can only be advised...not failed.
    If they coukd fail it for being deflated or bald, they would fail it for not being there...

    correct if its there must be legal to use as it is
    but you cant fail for not haveing a spare

    never had any fails on my sunstrip or smoked lights. i don;t bother changing anything over as when i end up getting pulled i like to show them the pass note as it is so they can;t complain i;ve changed things over

    I owe you an apology!!!! The spare is NOT part of the MOT as you indicate.
    
    We don't carry out MOT's but send them to a garage that does as we are in an area saturated with MOT test stations so never bothered setting up. Guess what, they would fail any car we send them with a defective tyre, but then again it is a branch of ATS....what do they supply....mmmmm!

    i know yeah does take a while somtimes
    i got my mot next week i had to put my cat back on today is long!!! lol
    got there in the end then though, started it up and thing sounded like a tank haha
    put some paste on and is sorted now
    hopefully should pass cant find anything wrong with it

    have fun mate lol, i had to find a new pipe for my fuel filter, change the lower suspension arm, change wiper blades and sort out my dodgy earth on the rea lights. don't bother with the emissions though, i have a friend at the garage

    Full of them and not just from harpers either.
    Used to live in telford, got family blymhill and newport, so i aint some oike from the other end of the country who doesnt know what he is on about.

    apart from harpers, i can assure you we aint farmers
