Yeah my mate sprayed his VTR wheels black, sanded them down a little to give the paint something to stick to then he just sprayed them black, look top notch

you can just sand down any marks with around 320 grit paper dry, then use a 600-800 grit wet, and then you can paint

Would use a primer first tho dude, use acid etch primer (red can) and would recommend to anyone refurbing their own wheels! cost like £11 a can but can easy do a coat on each wheel but would say to get 2 tins to give a good coat or 2 with

Mine are decent enough ... i'm not looking for perfection just have a pain in my face looking at the silver lol

ye just knock the shine off them, aslong as you don't go through then you'll be fine to paint over without primer
  13. #13
And how many coats would you recommend mate?
  14. #14
usually about 3-4 coats and if your doing them a metalic 3-4 coats of clear/lacquer
  15. #15
Use some filler primer then just spray them.
