Vtr/Vts bottom end?

I have had a quik search on this topic and i am thinking that the only difference between the VTR bottom end and the VTS bottom end is the machining on the top of the pistons am i right in thinking thins?

nope, vtr has no oil breather return on block (which is needed for vts head unless you make your own up or drill the block) the pulleys/tensioners are different size, some have smaller crank pulley for alternator (not a problem if you get the alt with the bottom end) and you need all the vts cam covers etc.

Cheers Ratty, what about the crank, conrods ect, are they the same?

conrods are different, one is floating bearing other is bushed (vts being the better one)
