saxo gearknob query (all in one or screw off? )

   hi quick question are they all in one or are do the tops just come off, the reason being I've seen something I like but at the price it is I don't fancy buying it then it not fitting, I'd assume they'd be a screw off top then another just goes on but I've seen some that are different. Car is a 03 plate VTR if it makes any difference?

   nope they don't screw there a knob with a white plastic glued on retainer if you want it off you have to pull the knob off and cut the white bit off then thread the shaft with a M12 tap and die set.
