Diesel Engine Advice.

Cut long story short. My dad has got a 2.0 DTi Vectra on a 51 plate. Its done 180,000miles. Its mechanicaly sound.
But thing is, its only doing 75-80 miles to £10.
Which is rather crap. Its life consists of using couple of miles of country lanes than A-roads, so its not stop start driving.

Any ideas on how to improve it.
I was thinking removing all the inlet as its never been off since was built.

    Thanks

Give it a good service. Make sure you change fuel filter and use fresh oil (dont put the old oil back in which i've seen done lol) That would be your best start

It had an oil change about 1 month ago (2000miles) So ill order in a fuel filter. Was thinking of some engine cleaner, all i can seem to find is the one that does fuel injectors etc. I want to do them and the actual internals.

put some redex in to fuel and best cheep oil flush i ever used is 200ml of red diesel in to oil cap.
run it 10 mins do not rev.
drain all and replace with fresh oil.
or put in cheep oil and flush it again.
