DTM mirrors..help..

   Hi All,
   
   im new here and to all this car modin buisness,
   
   was wondering if anyone could help me please?
   
   i have a 2001 mk2 saxo, just bought Mountney carbon fibre dtm mirrors and also had the brackets with them, got a slight problem though, when i take my standard mirrors off these are manual ones the wire mechanism that operates the mirror is stuck to the mirror how do i go about putting this in the new mirrors? or how do i get the new mirrors to operate?

   also bought pedals which have the alan key adjustable screws 2 in the clutch and brake pedals and 3 in the accelerator pedal, now for where i got lost how do i fix these to the standard saxo pedals? do i have do drill these holes thorugh the pedals to allow these to be fixed into place? they are Krawehl Tunning sports pedals

   had a handbrake handle and gaitor which are attached as one and i have the two other screw clips, whats the best way to stick this on i know i have to cut the old saxo plastic original off and fit this one over is it just as simple as placing those washer tightners on the top and bottom securing the handle in place?

   1) you cant remove them, DTM mirrors you need to physically push the glass to adjust them.
   
   2) Yes pedals need to be drilled for new pedals. They are not MOT compliant and you will have a difficault time trying to drill the pedals and bolting on the new 1s.
   
   Do the pedals have rubber on? if not they are sooo dangerious in the wet, id never do it again after doing it to my old 1. was nearly impossible to drill the standard pedals , my foot kept slipping off and they are FARR to close together when u press then brake u also catch the accelerator.
   
   3) yes just cut old 1 off and slid new 1 on and use fixings it came with to lock it into place.

   was told i,d have to take them off and slip the rubber back on the original ones for it to pass the mot,
   
   whilst your on the ball mate whats the easiest way to put alloy door pins on do you know please?

   well really you should remove your door pins altogether because its a huge security flaw in the saxos design. I removed mine straight away with both my vtr and vts.
   
   
   However if you want to keep them i guess ull need to remove the door skin, 1 screw when u open door by mirror plates, 1 in the grab handle then pull it so all the clips pop out, once the door card is off, then hacksaw the old pins off and slip new1's on and put some glue on the pin before putting it back together.

   a theif only needs to pull your door back and pull the pins up and they are in. Citroen rlly balled up over the saxos standard security. By removing the pins, a theif will find it much harder to open your door to break in.
