Good place to get ceramic brakes for Saxo

    Need good ceramic brakes to fit 406 brembos on a saxo. Any suggestions of sites, shops etc?

    Think you may have confused your self a bit here. Ceramic brakes as fitted to some high end sports cars or some race cars are something very different. It is a pad and disc combo that also uses dedicated calipers and rotor hubs to fit. That and they cost similar money to what a Saxo did when they where new! You can however get pads with a ceramic compound in them but it is not really that practical for a road car. Though the 406 Brembos should give you more then enough stopping power even with standard pads. If there not you have a problem somewhere down the line.

    ye but if you got to good brakes wont it just lock up the wheels ? correct me if im wrong ?

    You may be able to get ceramic in some brake pads

    I know what ceramic brakes are. I mean like you said brakes with ceramic in them. Ie red stuff pads etc

    If you want hardcore pads then id get some Carbonne Loraines (sp?) from kam-racing

    CL Brakes carbon metallic pads are what you need.
    The RC5+ compound is your only option for a road car. You will get amazing bite, they are pretty much unaffected by temperature and weather and I love fitting them to my cars.
    If you go for a more race compound you will get too much disc wear as they tend to be very abbrasive at low temperatures.

    Not at work today but I think I actually have some of these in stock

    They are just pads, you'll probably only want the fronts?

    lmao not ecpensive was just what i thought before i got a mentuion on the pads yiou said...so goiod disks. what shall i use?
