vtr feels slower

   I fitted a supersprint race system to my vtr about 3 weeks ago and I've just fitted a piper 4-1 manifold on wednesday and since fitting the manifold it seems to feel a lot slower any ideas why?

   4 - 1 manifolds are made for high rev torque, 4 - 2 - 1 manifolds are made for mid range, so unless you're revving the tits off it you're not really gunna notice a 4-1 as much.

   Agreed, had a 4-1 on my old xr3i (1985 model!) less low down torque but lots of top end oomph. It really took off at around 4 to 4.5k revs and reved out better.
   
   For everyday use 4-2-1 is better though in honesty.

   alot of people are under the same impression when it come to xr2 for example feel slower with the performance exhaust on so the gone back to standard lol silly really but agree with the above.

   either way it should be faster then the standard system
