Lowering car HELP!

    Hey i currently have standard VTR wheels on my car (14") and i want to lower my car just enough so tyre sits perfect in the arch ( not slammed on its to the floor and not too high). whats the best lower mm i can have on it? i was thinkining lowering it by 40mm or 50mm but dont no what would look best.. can any one help?!

    i lowered mine 40mm on the front with some vtr wheels on it and i think it looks quite tidy personally. fifty would look good to though as i dont think that would be to much but no more than fifty otherwise it would be a bit to much.

    have a look at the pics by all means and let me know what you think matey.

    rear torsion bar still needs to be done though on mine.

    40mm all round looks good to me and is still a comfortable ride and no scraping/rubbing issues either

    40mm it is cant wait, just no very knowledgable on lowering cars n whats the best kind of springs ( make ) any suggestions, i.e Sony is a good make for TV's etc but whats best for springs, i looked at a few i.e spax Gmax etc but they all look same, not sure if they act diff on road or quality of springs or what though.. any preferences?

    i used spax springs on the front of mandys old saxo and was well happy with them, however i've fitted several different brands of springs for customers, eibach seem to be popular as well. would steer clear of any real cheap parts, not always the best

    I've got eibach on mine at the front - I'm very happy with them?

    Personally, id do as noted above - and just avoid the ebay bargains.
