Thinking of putting my '00 VTS engine in my '03 Furio. Anybody already done it? I know a few guys on here have turned their furio to a 16v...

#2ye iv got it done to my vtr,
just make shure you get a half decent block, both manifolds, loom and unlocked ECU
you need the ecu unlocked so that it will work with your original ignition.
also you will need the mounts as there different to the vtr/furio.
Would also recomend the vts twin fan and radiator set up as they run pretty hot when u put the foot down1 user thanked this post: -
#3Not sure how I'm going to wire up the dash, I don't like the vts dash much. Possibly because the prick I bought it from never cleaned it. Need to change the struts etc do you know?
-
#4if ur running the furio gearbox, the struts and shafts should fit but would be a good idea swaping to the vts as the bigger calipers, abs etc.
-
#5I was thinking of dropping the whole lot in from the VTS, engine, box, shafts and hubs, but will the hubs bolt straight onto the struts?

#6calipers and discs are same on furio and S1 user thanked this post:

#8Hi, wanting to do a vtr to vts conversion on mine, just wondering are any engine mounts different and can i still run a vtr box?
-
#10vtr box yes, youll need the vts lower gearbox mount but the other two are fine iirc

#12Did a Furio to VTS conversion on mine. Make sure you get a 3 plug VTS engine as all Furio's are 3 plug. If you don't, it won't be plug and play. Worth getting hold of all the other parts as well like VTS Rad and Fan, mounts, etc etc. VTS gearbox is suited to the VTS engine. Others opt for Rallye boxes for the acceleration, I have an S1 Rallye box on mine. Whatever you do though, don't stick a VTR box on it! Any q's, drop me a pm
