Is there a guide on here for taking off a rear axle? i cant find one, just wondering if there was one at all?

Is it a massive job to take off?

    thanks.

can do it easily just take your time you need to disconnect rear brakes + hand brake then undo the 4 mounting bolts and lower using a jack or a couple of mates i did mine last week on my own and it took a hour topp's and it only took that long because a bolt snapped.

I couldn't find a guide when looking before, just found a few brief explanations.

But it is pretty easy tbh.

As said above, firstly slacken the handbrake cables via the nut under the exhaust heatshield then disconnect the handbrake cables where they go in to the calipers. Disconnect the brake lines where they loop under the axel. Then it is just a case of the 4 bolts inside the car under the boot carpet and rear bench.

Depending if you're getting an axel with hubs on or not, take the hubs off the old axel.

Then just fit the axel in reverse order and remember to bleed the brakes!
