Race tube or decat?

  1. #1
hi hoping for a little help. I currently have a MK2 VTR (03 plate) and am looking to upgrade my exhaust. I've already got a sportex backbox and a K and N panel filter and will be getting a 4-2-1 manifold also later on. Now I'm after something to make a bit more noise / improve performance so am looking at some form of exhaust. I've seen race tubes on ebay (genuine sportex) ones and also a de cat for them and I don't know what the difference is.

If I get the race tube it'll remove the second cat and then most likely be a pi on emissions but if I do the de cat then the same will happen. Which is the best way to go please.

    Any opinions / advice appreciated

the cat is in the mani mate so when you put the 4-2-1 mani on instant decat mate
