Smooth Bonnet = Cooling Issues?

  1. #1
As above does fitting a smoothed bonnet i.e. one with no grill affect cooling much/at all?

As far as i'm aware virtually all air flow is through the lower grill on the bumper, so the bonnet grill being smoothed shouldn't cause too many problems?

Is this true? Just want some first hand experience of them...

Will have morettes with inner lamps removed eventually so i guess this would make up for the lack of a grill?

    All experiences and opinions welcomed

Had this been photoshopped? Sounds like a bad idea

1.1 needs a new bonnet (VTS' old one) and there a lightweight fibreglass smoothed bonnet at a good price in the for sale section...slightly bad boy style too so overhangs the lights a little i thought it would look quite good?

If i didn't like it i could always lob the fibreglass one on the 1.1 and keep the standard one and tidy it up...

Nearly a photoshop, lights aren't covered as much by the other bonnet, and there no gay vents or nout in it...

EDIT - pic of said bonnet:

    Widemouth is tempting...

Morette's would do what that cold air feed is doing

On a side note look how far Saxo 180 has come!

wouldnt think cooling would be affected that much, look at s1 106's, the bonnet on them goes to the bumper almost
