Battery light on dash

   From today everytime I start my car the battery light will stay on until I tap the accelerator then I'll hear a relay click and it'll go off, also while the light is on the heater doesn't work and neither does the power steering, anyone had this problem before?

   Probably idle speed is not fast enough to make car "see" the alternator is working until you give it a blip. Nothing to worry about though.

   The cars idle speed doesnt seem to have changed at all though??

   Often when this happens with the battery light its caused by a diode being faulty in the alternator.Get the alternator checked free of charge at Halfrauds.

   I have the same problem with the battery light flashing light and when i give it abit of toe it goes off? And the power steering comes back on and so dose the heaters
