problem

    Thought i would check the compression on my engine while i was changing the plugs to see if my decomp plate was the right thickness,But found that the compression preshure was uneven.
    I put a recon head on it 4 months ago , I noticed last week it started to sound different when i started the car like a plug was missing,
    The preshures are ;
    9.8 BAR ; NO 1
    6.7 BAR ; NO 2
    7.2 BAR ; NO 3
    9.8 BAR ; NO ; 4
    It hasent been over heating at all,It runs sweet with no missfire,I just cant make sense of it ,
    I have checked it three times, when cold, hot , wet comp check, Slight increase on all but nothing to help to find why,
    Any one got any idea.

    you say its sounds like its missing on start up but then say its not missing, looking at what you results show, id assume there was a leak/crack beteen 2 and 3 cylinders

    did you fit a steel headgasket when you fitted the new head, also was the head skimmed, and what boost are you running? stand alone or 5 th injector......

    The head was preshure tested , skimmed at hamlins in bridgwater and used multi layred steel gaskets
    When i said a plug was missing i ment not as misfiring but as one cylinder easy to turn over than the outhers .
    Im doing it the way everyone says not to MF2 - SIGCON
    Im running between 0.5 bar to 0.7
    great power but allways running a little rich cos i melted the last head across all the ports.
    still confused cant work out why the preshure uneven?

    you melted the head across all ports? fuck me youve done well there mate, sounds like premature silimar occurrence, your getting too much air not enough fuel by the sounds of things, did it run "hot" when you screwed it the first time, who is mapping your mf2 and do you have a wideband lambda?

    It did run hot v hot but i was stonking down the M5 last time,it went down on two then 17 miles later dead
    I allways thought it got hot cos i never had a oil cooler now i have one.
    Ive got a narrow band sensor and gauge it works fine got a mate to map the mf2 at the collage where he goes.
    I think u could be right between 2-3 is the thinnist part cant see how its running lean fuc###g thing drinks the fuel

    is the sigcon wired in properly, and dont see how you can map the mf2 with a narrow band, you need a wideband to see what going on, effectivley your guessing, which doesnt work lmao

    what does the gauge read btw?

    the gauge is mainly for show,My mate is a student at bridgwater collage thay have a rolling road there and a gas annaliser to map the mf2
    The sigcon wired up ok,The map sensor is clamped just above atmospheric preshure and the full throtel is set to activate at atmospheric preshure.
    The mf2 threshold is set to aboout +1.5 psi so thay overlap each outher ,
    cant seam work out the input gain (injection speed)
    When on boost it flies to rich and as the rpm in crease in each 1k rpm it seams to lean off just as the next 1k part cuts in and back to rich again any ideas ?

    you sure you haven't blew your headgasket inbetween cylinders 2 and 3?!

    probly bud just won auction for a c2 vts short motor on ebay only 25 quid cant go wrong only done 39k miles, got a comp solid hgasket on its way so next thursday going to change the lot ,block, head, dcomp plate and then the garrett t25 ive had in the shed cant wait woosh im on the road again
