Vts abs

Right I have been having a few issues with the braking set up on the VTS.

The abs warning light is on. Sometimes it will go off, normally as I have just left home. Gone about 40 yards and go to brake, the abs light goes off as if the abs is working.

Hear and feel a grinding coming from the front, as if the sensors are catching on the driveshafts. And have little or no brakes. The pedal seems to go down less as well, about half way down.

Then I brake on and off for a hundred yards or so and it normally goes away.
Light comes back on the brakes work fine.

    Any ideas?

Also fitted new pads, discs and handbrake cable when I changed shells. Handbrake holds but I can push the car. Im not sure if I can tighten it any more.

Also the sections covered by an outercasing of the cable, its blue in my case. seem very low. They hang down and are very tight. Im sure they arent meant to hang down.

    Again any ideas?

Car is off the road for the winter so need to have it ready for Jan.

Cables hanging down because cable needs clipping up or resecuing properly, ABS light could be a sensor but if you're getting grinding noises are you sure theres not a wheel bearing at fault as if there is play in one, the sensor will not pick up a good signal from the ring on the driveshaft/hub

No wheel bearings were changed before it went back on the road and got its mot. Its as if something is catching. i.e the sensor going into the 'teeth' of the driveshaft.

There was no where to clip the cable up I could see, will have another look and check.

Cheers. I'll have a look. I know one side is meant to go under/through part of the fuel tank, but couldnt get it to go up. Will see if I cant get them up.

Would they be affecting the handbrake working properly? Cant see that they would
