got sportex 4inch on mine.... and love it, drive it normally and gives a nice purr. but when you put your foot down it gives a nice roar and pops alot. get one mate.

i bought one for my 1.1 because they were relatively cheap, but i was surprised firstly at the quality of the sound they give, and later astonished to find that it alone had given my car +6BHP!!! on a 1.1! So they are worth the money but depends what your looking for, if i could afford it i would have chosen a magnex or piper backbox. Its up to you dude

lol thats abit of a lie 6BHP from a backbox erm nah not even my full system on my vtr has given me that much.....

Anyway yes sportex's are brilliant exhausts love em, bit fiddly to fit for first time but very good products. would highly reccomend them to any1, rosey has my old 1 and he is pleased with it as u can tell

I had a sportex back box on my old vtr ages ago when it had the vtr engine in it and it wasnt bad for the money, sounded nice.

Wouldnt get another though.

i would i think they are great but they are quite loud i got mine brand new for under £100 BARGAIN they sound the best of the exhausts on the market too lovelly gargle / pop / purr sound. Though i swapped my sportex for a powerflow as i wanted a duel exit but id still buy another if i changed my plans!

i got a sportex manifold a while back and was pure sh1te, bolt holes didnt even line up properly

dont call me a lier, i have witnesses who were on the rolling road meet with me who can back me up, one of them being a moderator here. if it hadnt happened to me i wouldnt have believed it either, but my car is now 66bhp according to AVA. thats 6 horsepower above standard, no other engine mods.

I still have my old one lying about outside somewhere, was a 4" back box. Its probably rusted to bits now.
