Hi guy's im having abit of a problem putting my drivers side seat belt back in. hard to explain but here goes, The bar behind the drivers seat that the seat belt slides along, which one end of the bar fits into the car n then the other end gets bolted to the side of the car BUT the bolt wont go in!!! The thread inside the car has been threaded!, i need to know the size of the bolt thread so i can re-tap the tread inside the car. can anyway help, please

#5ive done it prev by drilling it out and tap it put a 17 mm bolt in. and ive hear you can cut hole weld a bolt then weld cut hole up

#6bit of a bump lol well actually i went to a garage a month back and they said £40-50 to cut it out and weld in a new captive nut, but i took it to another garage and they just put all there muscle behind it and got it to screw in, its still fooked but its safe and passed mot so basically i cant undo it ever again ha
