Need to get more POWER out of my VTR

  1. #1
Just wondering how to get more power out of my vtr thinking induction kits but was just wondering if there was anything that will give a bit more power... money aint really a issue.

    Thanks

People on here spend close to £100 on an induction kit for minimal gains. I say the best thing to do first is decat it.
btw, there are loads of power threads if you search....
    also, Hello! welcome to saxp

dont always need more power to make them faster mate, pound for pound to make its "faster" would be stripp it down and change the gearbox, will give u better 0-60 bit less top end depending on the box, but i guess your after better 0-60...

also u say money aint an issue. turbo supercharge it? 3000/4000£ onwards...

all seriousness tho strip it out something like a s2 rallye box supersprint exhaust system maybe cams and itb other than that turbo it.

de-cat, induction kit, LOSE SOME WEIGHT FROM THE CAR! best thing I ever did when I had my vtr mate!

Fully stripped it, decat system and enclosed air filter. beat VTS off the line easily!

Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold and the 2" race system (Decat), coupled with the Raceland induction kit with green filter. Kam Racing say people have gained upto 12bhp on the exhuast system alone, and other say 3-4bhp on the Raceland so you could be lucky and gain around 16bhp

Give it a good service 1st.

vts engine. can get one for £250 if you look around, then sell your vtr engine for £100 and its cost less than a full system for 20-30bhp
