Engine block cleaning

    Has anyone got any tips/tricks on cleaning the block? and how should i go about masking up areas such as the pistons and sensor areas?

    leave the head on?

    sensors will be fine, most will get wet with driving. best to cover anything up in plastic bags that you think will bugger up when wet (ecu/coilpack/battery etc etc)

    the blocks off the car and stripped so i'd be ok as long as i covered up the area exposing the pistons?

    Get some stuff called GUNK brush it on leave it for a while cover up the internals of the engine & any remaing sensors/wires then hose off.Then if you have acess to an air line dry it off with that.
