How hard is it to re-wire headlight loom

How hard would it be to rewire the loom so i can put some more powerfull bulbs in?

Would it be easier to get some connectors re-wire them with thick cable, then run it back to a new toggle switch in the car with an inline fuse etc.

Any help would be great
