Noob question relating to clutch/gearbox

   Just wanted to know if it is bad to keep your foot pressed on the clutch while in traffic if its not in gear (i.e its in neutral).
   If so why?

   yes because it puts constant pressure on the release bearing as when you press the clutch, the bearing is forced up against the pressure plate
