    righty

i have been offered a new engine well 60.000 one (better then the 175.000mile one i have now) its a mk2 engine so its a 3pin ecu and wiring and mine i a single pin ecu and wiring..

i lad say the engines are the same you can just use the sensors off the engine i have now?? as the wiring at the engine end is the same??? this true???

so can u run a 3pin ecu engine off a single pin ecu and wiring????

also i need a cat for mot... he got a manifold cat but on my car it a cat under car can i change to a manifold cat??? is it just a case of moving my sensor???

is there any other problems to think about????

Thought you were getting an A6 and didnt need saxp anymore because you have been here for 6 years (5 really)

When i wanted to do it, rickyp said all the inside car loom needs changing, unless you want to start chopping at the loom and try and match everything up bit my bit. Im sure the mk2 engine has a few different sensors, aswell as 2 lambda's.

You can put the cat manifold in, will work all the same because there is still a cat along the system.

yeah but mots coming its got a old leak for head and its fully skimmed so i was thinking for that engine now having 175.000 on it it maybe better a newer 60.000 was put in it

and as sensors go me info is just put my sencors i have nor on the engine all will be fine thats wot he has done......

some of the sensors on the inlet are different, and you cant swap the inlets round due to different port spacing's

also the oil filter on the new engines has a connection and the older ones dont.
