What will V-power petrol do for my saxo vts?
v-power

#2It'll help it start!
Higher octane fuel makes engines run a little smoother, if you were to run a tuned car on V-Power for a while then remap the car using it you could notice a little difference in delivery.
It makes cars louder as well, in the case of our Saxo project car (which runs a decat and 99 octane fuel) we get pops and bangs on the overrun!
Try it, it won't hurt! -
#3ar right, koool lol will do, thanks :Y:Quote:It'll help it start!

#4pretty much F.A unless its charged or been remapped on v power
-
#5still 118.9, but £20 for the quiky, nice treat for it
-
#7not charged or remapped on v power then?
-
#8my vts is fussy and runs shit on standard.

#10V Power helps keep the engine cleaner and to produce the maxium power available to your engine, also keeps your injectors clean and stops large deposits of dirt getting in your inlet valves etc, also my car starts better from cold with V Power. My car without Vpower and using crap normal fuel runs like a bag of nails/ runs totally crap and i lose power with normal unleaded and engine does not turn over as good with crap unleaded normal stuff, my car starts straight off the key with V power, more responsiveness, better accelerating, way better on fuel and pulls a hell of alot better, those people who say v power does nothing are fools no offence to them, if they want to put crap fuel in there car thats up to them!

#11My cars cammed and mapped, I cant feel a difference running 97 over 95, except fuel economy seems to suffer for some reason. Il try the 99 stuff next.
-
#12some stock or mildly tuned cars do run better on v power, but 90% or higher will see no differance
-
#13Right so can i run my car on v-power if it wasnt mapped on v-power? will it do me any good
-
#14can run it no problem, whether or not it runs any better depends on your engine1 user thanked this post:

#15You can run your car on v-power yesQuote:Right so can i run my car on v-power if it wasnt mapped on v-power? will it do me any good
chances are though, if its not charged or running big power and mapped to run on it you wont notice a MASSIVE difference. You might possibly get a little bit more power from it but I doubt you would notice it. Will keep the engine/injectors slightly cleaner too.
When I run mine on it you can feel a very slight difference, and it does make the car slightly louder, old one used to pop and bang alot more using v-power
If I was you, I would run it on v-power for the next few tanks and see if you notice a difference, if you are happy with it stick to v-power. If you don't like it go back to normal stuff
Worse that can happen is you dont like it and you will have spent £15-20 max on the difference in a few tanks. -

#18V power will only make your car run a little smoother, you are meant to get better fuel consumption from it aswell... If people are noticing that their car is running better/smoother when ran on 97+ octane then its probably because the higher octane has burnt the shite out the injectors... A fuel additive cleaner will do the same job
